Why Choose Syntegra Services?
Most buildings run a mechanical contractor, a plumber, an electrician, a cleaning company and a grounds crew. That's five vendors on five contracts, and you end up doing a lot of refereeing when something fails at the seam between two of them. The chiller goes down and the mechanical contractor says it's an electrical fault. The electrician says the unit was never commissioned properly. Nobody owns the outcome, and the building sits warm while you mediate.
Syntegra self-performs all of it. You sign one contract and call one number. Whatever trade the problem turns out to be, the same company answers for the result. Buyers call this integrated facilities management (IFM), and we deliver it with our own crews instead of a network of subcontractors.
What is integrated facilities management? Our 3-minute explainer.

Do you self-perform, or subcontract?
We self-perform. Our HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians and janitorial crews are our own W-2 employees, not a broker network assembled per job. That matters on the third call-back for the same fault, when the person walking in already knows the building. We subcontract only specialty scopes outside our licensed trades, and we tell you when we do.
Who actually does the work?
Our own people. HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians and janitorial crews are Syntegra W-2 employees. They are apprenticeship-trained, carry current safety certification, and work under our own licenses. They are not a broker network assembled per job. We can scale for a shutdown or a turnaround without lowering the bar on who walks into your building. Specialty scopes outside our licensed trades are the only work we subcontract, and we tell you when that happens.
Can you work under prevailing wage or a project labor agreement?
Yes. Syntegra is a signatory contractor and staffs to the requirements of public, prevailing-wage and project labor agreement work. Tell us the requirement on your project and we will confirm how we would staff it.
What we run today
Over the last 16 months Syntegra completed 6,153 jobs for 471 customers across 1,141 service locations, under 176 active service agreements, in 115 communities across MA, NH and RI.
Two different figures get quoted for response time, so here are both, with their denominators:
- Reactive service calls (4,381 demand calls in that window): 77% scheduled within 24 hours, 44% within 4 hours (median 11.9 hours).
- All scheduled work (5,329 jobs across every trade and priority, including planned and contract work): 71% within 24 hours, 39% within 4 hours (median 15.8 hours).
Company operating data through September 25, 2026, taken directly from our service-management system and refreshed automatically. Response figures measure the time from a request being logged to the first scheduled on-site appointment. That is scheduling responsiveness, not arrival time. This is historical performance, not a service-level guarantee; your contracted response times are whatever your agreement says.
What we do
Syntegra covers the whole building:
- Commercial janitorial: day porters, night cleaning, and cleanroom-capable protocols under your SOPs.
- Floor care: carpet extraction, VCT strip and wax, burnishing, and hard-surface restoration.
- Commercial plumbing: licensed plumbers for fixtures, repiping, backflow, grease traps and lab/process plumbing.
- Commercial electrical: licensed electricians for service, panels, switchgear, standby power and lighting retrofits.
- Commercial HVAC: rooftop units, chillers, boilers and air handlers; preventive maintenance and 24/7 repair.
- Facilities maintenance: planned programs plus 24/7 response for floods, chiller and boiler failures and MEP faults.
- Grounds and snow: landscaping, parking lot sweeping, and winter operations.
- Commercial painting: interior and exterior, scheduled around occupancy.
- Fractional facilities leadership: interim coverage when a full-time hire is not justified yet.

Regulated and critical environments
A meaningful share of our work is in buildings where the cleaning is part of the compliance record. In cGMP and GLP environments we clean and document under the customer's own approved procedures, through established Quality Agreements. That work covers cleanroom janitorial, gowning rooms, glass wash and autoclave support, media prep areas and bio-waste handling. Cleanroom classification is stated to current ISO 14644 classes rather than the retired FED-STD-209E scale.
In data centers, our services support N, N+1, N+2, 2N and 2N+1 redundancy topologies. We plan each job around concurrent maintainability so servicing one path doesn't put the load at risk.
We also maintain sports and leisure facilities across Massachusetts, including inflatable dome structures. Domes are a specialty. Air handling, pressurization and fabric care all work differently, and most facility contractors have never touched one.

How fast do you respond to an emergency?
We answer 24 hours a day, every day, for floods, chiller and boiler failures, water heater failures and MEP faults. Because we self-perform, the person dispatched is a Syntegra employee with access to the building's service history, not whoever a call center could reach.
What certifications do you hold?
Syntegra is certified by the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office under the Small Business Purchasing Program. It is also a minority-owned business. Syntegra Mechanical LLC holds Massachusetts Plumbing Corporation license 5024-PL-C and Massachusetts Electrical Business license 8730-EL-A1. We are a member of the Greater Boston Plumbing Contractors Association, and have held commercial facility contracts continuously since 1999.

Where do you work?
Greater Boston and the surrounding suburbs, from our facility at 116 Robbins Street in Waltham. That includes Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Newton, Waltham, Woburn, Burlington, Lexington, Quincy, Needham, Dedham, Framingham, Marlborough, Andover and Devens. We serve life science and healthcare buildings, commercial offices, schools and universities, government facilities, retail and banking, and multi-residential properties.
