Tango Unlimited: Play at Your Own Pace

Play Tango Unlimited online for free, with no account required. Choose a grid, solve at your own pace, and open another puzzle whenever you want more practice.

What Is Tango Unlimited?

Tango Unlimited lets you keep playing beyond the daily set without waiting for the next reset. It is a sun and moon logic game with the same rules on every board: balance each row and column, avoid three identical symbols in a line, and follow the matching or opposite clues.

Unlimited means there is no limit on how many puzzles you play today. It does not mean every board you open will be new to you; you can revisit earlier puzzles. Tango Grid is independent of LinkedIn and does not host LinkedIn’s official daily puzzle.

Daily Tango vs Unlimited Tango

Choose Daily Tango for a shared routine or Unlimited for a session you shape yourself. You do not have to finish today’s set before opening Unlimited.

Choose Your Tango Board Size

Pick the amount of grid you want to work through. Larger boards add cells and crossing clues to track; size alone is not a difficulty rating.

  • 4×4 — A quick, compact 16-cell board for a short session.
  • 6×6 — More room to scan, with 36 cells and three of each symbol per line.
  • 8×8 — A middle-size option for a longer session across 64 cells.
  • 10×10 — More cells and clue interactions to follow across a 100-cell grid.
  • 12×12 — The largest available board, with 144 cells and six of each symbol per line.

How Unlimited Tango Puzzles Work

Numbered Puzzles You Can Revisit

Each puzzle has a number within its grid size, making it easy to find the same board again. The size and number together identify the puzzle; its number is not a ranking from easiest to hardest.

Start Another Puzzle

Open the puzzle menu and choose New puzzle to load another board in the current size. You can do this after finishing or whenever you want a change. It skips the board currently open, but may bring back one you played earlier. Use a size link above to switch grids.

Share and Return to the Same Board

Choose Copy link in the puzzle menu for a fixed link to the current numbered puzzle. Share that link with a friend or bookmark it; the general Unlimited page and size pages can open a different board on a later visit. A shared puzzle link does not include your filled cells or progress.

To resume your own saved game, open its fixed link in the same browser on the same device. Progress is saved when browser saving is available. Clearing browser data can remove that save, and opening the link on another device does not transfer it.

For more about the starting symbols, clues, and boards you can revisit, see How Tango Puzzles Are Made.

Learn and Improve at Tango

Use unlimited Tango puzzles to practise one habit at a time: count a nearly full line, check a pair, then follow a clue into the crossing line. Before placing a symbol, try to explain why it must go there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Tango Unlimited free?

Yes. You can play the Tango Unlimited game for free in your browser without creating an account.

Can I choose a board size?

Yes. Choose 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, 10×10, or 12×12. All five use the same sun and moon rules, so you can switch sizes without learning a different game.

Is there a time limit in Unlimited Tango?

No. The clock records elapsed playing time, but there is no countdown or time-up loss in Unlimited. Choose Timed if you want a countdown challenge.

Can I share an Unlimited Tango puzzle?

Yes. Use Copy link to send the fixed puzzle URL. Your friend opens the same starting board and can solve it independently; your saved progress stays in your browser.
