United Wizards of the Coast is the union of workers behind MTG Arena and Wizards Customer Support, organizing in partnership with the Communications Workers of America.
Today is a momentous day for the workers of Arena! After months of planning, waiting and organizing, our dream is finally a reality; the votes have been counted, and our union of UWOTC-CWA has been officially elected.
UWOTC-CWA is seeking layoff protections for our members. Corporations are often short-term profit seeking entities beholden only to shareholders. We believe that this is detrimental to the health and well-being of our workforce.
UWOTC-CWA is seeking clarity around permitted side projects for workers. Current approval processes for side projects often receive blanket denials or go unanswered for long periods. Workers should be free to confidently engage in work clearly outside of scope.
