Once Healed

Jesus performed amazing miracles.  The blind were able to see.  The deaf could hear.  The lame could walk.  The mute could speak.  Being healed had to be the most joyful, important moment of their lives.  But what came next?  What did they do with these newly restored abilities?

I would hope that…

“Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.” (Cl. 3:18-21)

Two Christians attempt to convert their neighbors to Christ. The first invites many people to come to church. She offers to give them a ride, promises to introduce them so that things won’t be awkward, keeps a seat open for them, and genuinely hopes that she’ll get to share these worship…

The Bible’s greatest examples of faith were those who sought their strength to face daily life from God, and he gave it to them.

Today’s most common method of facing daily life is to find a balance of life and “coping mechanisms”—the myriad of things that we turn to take away the pain, the stress,…

Over the past handful of months, a 24-yr-old man named Leopold Aschenbrenner both gained and lost approximately $35 billion. A Columbia University valedictorian, he recently published an essay on the anticipated future of the Artificial Intelligence sector. His pontifications were believed so…

Why do we keep choosing to sin?

In fairness to that question, it's not as though all of us continually choose it. By the grace of God, we have the power to endure temptation and choose the "way of escape" that he provides (1 Cr. 10:13), and there are many whose love for God makes them do so day…

This past Sunday, a brother named Sewell Hall received his eternal reward after 96 years on Earth. Pictured here with his son, Gardner (a preacher in New Jersey and NYC), brother Hall spent almost eight decades preaching the Good News of Christ to established churches in America, youth camps,…
