Mississippi will expand access to crisis mental health services in rural communities.

The State of Mississippi, through the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), seeks proposals from qualified vendors to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Mississippi's statewide prehospital medicine environment (emergency medical services - EMS) and to develop a practical, evidence-informed plan for regionalized EMS services. The assessment shall inform future policy, funding priorities, quality improvement, workforce strategy, medical oversight, data modernization, and implementation strategies consistent with the Rural Health Transformation initiative.

The Workforce Expansion Initiative (WEI) is Mississippi’s effort to grow, support, and sustain the rural healthcare workforce—so communities have the providers and support staff they need, when they need them.

Telehealth Hub Connectivity, Equipment & Education Grant Program is part of the TAPS Iniative. The Telehealth Adoption & Provider Support (TAPS) Initiative is Mississippi’s effort to expand access to care by bringing healthcare directly to patients—where they are.

Rural Provider Technology Grant Program is part of the HTAM Initiative. The Health Technology Advancement & Modernization Initiative (HTAM) is Mississippi’s effort to modernize the technology that supports rural healthcare—so providers can deliver safer, faster, and more coordinated care.

The Rural Capital Care Gap Closure is part of the BRIDGE Initiative. The BRIDGE Initiative is Mississippi’s effort to strengthen the physical, operational, and programmatic infrastructure that rural healthcare depends on.
