Jody is the visionary founder of Bargains Group and Kits for a Cause – a leader whose mission has always been to help others, especially those less fortunate. She loves matching donors with charities and designing team-building events that make giving back easy and rewarding. In her free time, Jody enjoys walking in the country, watching documentaries, bargain hunting, and sitting by the campfire under the stars. Her work continues to empower thousands of charities across Canada, ensuring they have the supplies they need to support their communities.

Kits For A Cause was created by The Bargains Group, a Canadian wholesale supplier that has supported nonprofits, social service agencies, shelters, schools, and community organizations for almost four decades.

Through that work, Bargains Group saw how many charitable organizations needed access to essential products, and how many companies wanted a better way to give back.

Kits For A Cause brings the two together through kit-packing events that directly support communities while helping teams connect through volunteer experiences.

Michal is Jody’s right-hand support and a key part of the Bargains Group family. She loves helping people in need and working alongside such a passionate and caring team. Outside of work, Michal enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling – and fun fact, she sings in a rock choir! Through her role, she helps the team reach more people and maximize the positive impact Bargains Group has across the community.

For nearly 18 years, Chantel has been the heart behind the products at Bargains Group, carefully choosing every item that ends up in the hands of those in need. Her favorite part of the job is knowing that each SKU she sources makes a real difference in someone’s life. Outside of work, Chantel is passionate about family life and watching her son grow into an amazing young man. She’s done nearly every role in the company over the years, and her deep product knowledge helps clients make the best choices possible. Chantel’s thoughtful buying ensures every product provides value, dignity, and happiness for its end user.

Known for her youthful spirit (and the fact that no one can guess her age!), she brings a wealth of experience and energy to every project. Loretta’s strategic approach helps amplify the company’s mission of making the world better – one kit at a time.

Minahil bridges creativity and compassion through her role, helping companies, families, and community groups turn ideas into real-world impact. She loves seeing each project come to life – from a corporate kit-packing event to a small local charity partnership and transforming those moments into inspiring stories that encourage others to give back. Outside work, Minahil is passionate about storytelling for social impact, fostering animals, and experimenting in her kitchen with family and friends as her taste-testers. Originally from Pakistan, she speaks four and a half languages and brings a multicultural lens to everything she does. Her work connects people who want to help with those who truly need it – creating a culture of kindness, one kit at a time.

Meet Tia, a dedicated member of the Kits for a Cause Donor Team! Tia’s favorite part of working here is being able to support people in need and make a difference every day. She’s passionate about health and well-being, both physical and mental, and her love for all things green (literally – she’s a proud plant mom!) brings life to every space she’s in. Through her work, Tia connects donors and charities, helping create meaningful community impact.

Bhavya brings heart and enthusiasm to every connection she builds between corporations and charities. She loves being part of a team that’s truly making a difference and finds daily inspiration in the impact their work creates. Outside of work, Bhavya loves exploring new experiences – from traveling and discovering something new to sharing great food and laughter with friends and family. Fun fact: she once gave a literal piece of herself to the company (her appendix didn’t make it, but she did!). Bhavya is proud to see how even the smallest actions can create lasting, meaningful change in the community.

Chris keeps the heart of the operation running smoothly as Warehouse Lead at Bargains Group. What he enjoys most is the camaraderie he shares with his colleagues, making every day feel like teamwork in action. Outside of work, you’ll find him diving into his passions for music, food, and fresh haircuts. Don’t let his tough look fool you – Chris insists he’s “much nicer than you’d think”. His work helps ensure essential products reach those who need them most.

Through her work, she helps ensure essential supplies reach communities in need, making a lasting difference behind the scenes.
