'Growth' shows a cluster of fleshy, softly breathi 'Growth' shows a cluster of fleshy, softly breathing fungal or anenome-like forms, powered by hidden compressors. These strange organisms grow out of a dystopian, desolate diorama: a landscape shaped by the long term consequences of unchecked human expansion. It was made during my residence @buitenplaatsdoornburgh in November 2024 and shown for the first time during my solo @nlisusart this December.

For this exhibition I created a second edition of my work 'Cocoons' in a unique new skin colour! And with different details. It's still on show untill 18 January.

For SOTSOG II, I selected a work by Justine Kurlan For SOTSOG II, I selected a work by Justine Kurland. By cutting and rearranging pieces of female bodies, originating from nude magazines shot by male photographers, she transforms them into autonomous liberated new entities. Similarly, in my work female bodies break free from their suffocating patriarchal cocoons. Carving their way toward self constructed freedom. I'm thrilled to have been part of the second editi I'm thrilled to have been part of the second edition of SOTSOG at the Saatchi Gallery in London this year. We were asked to respond to a piece from the V&A collection and create something new. The exhibition is still on at @saatchi_gallery until January 12, 2026!
