Boundary Fence by R. Dewi Williams

‘I still remember that thrill of excitement… on reading Boundary Fence for the first time.’

Kate Roberts

Two neighbouring farmers of opposite temperaments fall into lifelong enmity over the state of the fence that divides their land. Filled with a countryman’s eye for natural details, and a countryman’s tolerance of human foibles, R. Dewi Williams’ seminal short story, first published in Welsh in 1911, appears in the author’s translation of 1915.

Practicalities

Cockatrice Books uses print on demand technology to keep costs and labour practicable, and on Payhip for payment and order processing. Books ordered in the UK, the US, Canada or Australia are printed and dispatched within five to ten days of purchase by Printondemand-worldwide or its local partners, though books purchased from Amazon are, on very rare occasions, printed by Amazon. Printondemand contributes to reforestation through Ecologi. Amazon has no evident moral principles, except the deification of greed.

A limited number of Cockatrice titles are available as ebooks. These are sold in epub format without restrictive technologies. You are welcome to store and read them on as many devices as you own.
