I am a filmmaker who works as a film and TV drama writer, director and editor as well as a factual and promo director and editor who self-shoots at times.
I have a strong interest in exploring coming-of-age and identity in any genre with a particular love for the clash between fantasy and reality as well as ordinary characters finding themselves in extraordinary situations.
My film and TV drama stories are based on Deaf / BSL (British Sign Language) like myself, hearing or Disabled people.
My films have been shown at festivals, both nationally and internationally, winning awards as well as being broadcast on Film4, CBBC and streamed on Sky On Demand.
I directed a short film 'Asa' that was funded by BFI Network South East starring Nicholas Pinnock and had its UK premiere at BAFTA-qualifying Osa Bright Film Festival.
I took part in the BBC Elevate scheme with an aim to work towards directing HETV drama and ended up directing 2nd unit for Warp Films and BBC's Reunion.
I am a member of Directors UK, I have been mentored as part of their Inspire 2023/24 mentorship by Jesse Quinones as well as Paul Unwin with Screen Skills. I shadowed John Maidens on Waterloo Road and Call the Midwife as well as Michael Lacey on Waterloo Road too.
My factual projects involves EPKs and behind-the-scenes films, trailers, BSL translation videos, video essays, promotional and awareness films, I shoot with Fujifilm X-T cameras, along with various lenses, lights and edit on Final Cut Pro.
