Research directions may include foundation models of genome regulation, single-cell and spatial multi-omics, AI models of disease, digital twins, synthetic biology, AI-guided experiments, and related areas.

A joint position with the KU Leuven Department of Computer Science and Department of Electrical Engineering, particularly suited to researchers developing foundational AI, machine learning and mathematical approaches with applications in biology.

Research directions may include new AI architectures for biology, hybrid AI and mechanistic models, foundation models, computer vision and biomedical imaging, protein modelling, structured biological data, AI-guided experiments, and related areas.
