Why “Optivory”

Optivory: from Optimal and Victory.

Every engagement sits between two ideas: the optimal architecture, and the victory it delivers.

Each one is measured against an outcome you can point to:

  • An audit passed
  • A migration completed without downtime
  • A compliance deadline met
  • A cost baseline beaten
The story behind the name

What we do

That's the shape of every engagement, whichever practice leads: five practices, one accountable team, no vendor handoffs, and no layer of the estate left unowned.

Copilot governanceNew

Copilot inherits every permission in SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, and surfaces whatever a user can reach. Risk committees know it, and block deployment until someone can prove the estate is safe.

With Copilot Cowork, generally available since June 2026, Copilot now acts on that access as well as reading it. We build the proof, so your risk committee can say yes.

What your risk committee needs proven

  • Permissions audit
  • Sensitivity labelling
  • Grounding controls
  • AI audit trail

Copilot

Operations moves to the updated process handbook. The draft board pack also proposes merging your team with Logistics, the consultation file lists six roles in your area as at risk, and the salary review caps rises at 2%.

Nothing here was hacked. Copilot used permissions the organisation had already granted.

Industries we work with

Ten regulated sectors, each answering to its own rules. We start from the rule, then build the platform that evidences it.

How we work

That demand is a sequencing problem before it's an engineering one: migration waves in a regulated estate can't be ordered by dependency risk alone. Each wave has to hold impact tolerance through its own cutover, and that's what actually decides the order things move in.

An Optivory sequencing workshop, mapping business services against regulatory exposure

  1. Wave 01Lowest-dependency workloads

3 of 3 workloads live and holding within impact tolerance.

  2. Wave 02Shared services

Wave one tolerance evidence signed off by risk.

  3. Wave 03Core ledger

Landing zone proven under peak load.

    Moves last.

Timing is illustrative. The dashed orange line is the lease expiry at M9.

Wave 01 · what moves

Non-transactional web tiers · Batch schedulers · Reporting replicas. Nothing customer-facing leans on these, so moving them first proves the landing zone without putting a customer at risk.

Wave 02 · what moves

Authentication gateways · ETL pipelines · API management. Other services lean on these, so they move once wave one has shown the landing zone holds.

Wave 03 · what moves

Balance databases · General ledger systems · Payment settlement networks. The workloads with the most riding on them move last, into a target that has already carried the rest.

The engagement model

That sequencing sits inside one governing structure: whichever practice leads, the engagement runs the same four phases, in the same order, every time.

  1. 01

    Assess

    Weeks 1 to 2

We map your estate, risks and objectives before proposing a single change, so every recommendation that follows is grounded in how your organisation actually operates today.

    A prioritised, board-ready findings deck.

  2. 02

    Architect

    Weeks 3 to 4

We design a target state balancing performance, cost, security and simplicity, then pressure-test it with your team before a single line of infrastructure changes.

    A signed-off architecture, not a slide deck.

  3. 03

    Deliver

    Weeks 5 to 10

Senior engineers execute with clear milestones and rollback plans at every step, so progress is visible and reversible rather than a black box until go-live.

Production cutover with zero surprise downtime.

  4. 04

    Operate

    Ongoing

You inherit a stable, observable, cost-controlled platform your team can own, with the documentation and runbooks to keep running it well after we step back.

A platform your team can run without us.

The practice

Five practices is the structure. This is how long it has been standing, and the technology it's built on.
