Too big for small claims, too small for a lawyer
Small claims courts stop at roughly $10,000 to $25,000 in most states. Full litigation starts far above that. A dispute in between leaves you with no affordable route through.
Legali helps everyday people understand what their legal situation involves, what happens next, and how to prepare for it.
We do not provide legal advice or representation, and using Legali does not create a lawyer-client relationship. What we give you is information, structure and tools. Decisions about your matter stay yours, and we will say plainly when something calls for a licensed lawyer in your state.
The gap is not about who is right. It is about who can afford to find out.

Free legal aid is means-tested, and about half of pro bono requests are turned down. Legal fees, meanwhile, climb faster than inflation every year.
The usual outcomes are walking away, accepting a settlement that is not fair, or spending money the household cannot spare. None of those should be the only options.

This was our story too. A real estate dispute put my husband’s home equity at risk and forced him to sue his own parents. The case mattered enormously to us and was nowhere near large enough to justify the legal bills. Even with a Stanford Law education behind me, it was overwhelming. If it felt impossible for us, we could not stop thinking about everyone facing it with no legal background at all.
Legali exists to make the justice system understandable: no confusion, no intimidation, no cost wall. We turn dense procedure into clear steps, so you can see what happens next, prepare properly, and stay in control of your own case from the first page to the last.
Legali does not stand in for a lawyer. It helps you understand the process well enough to know when one is needed.
Procedures broken into plain-language steps, in the order they actually happen.
Help preparing documents, organizing what you have, and keeping track of dates.
Your case, your decisions, your records. Nothing is filed or sent on your behalf.
We tell you when a matter needs professional advice, and help you go in prepared.

Founder and CEO
Stanford Law LL.M. in Law, Science and Technology. Irawati started Legali after seeing how far out of reach the process stays even for someone with a legal education. Her aim is simple: give people the clarity and the structure to handle their own matter with confidence, and to know when to bring in help.
