– Jacobo
Jacob took both the Construction Electrician Program and the Solar Maintenance Technician Course, gaining the skills needed to land a high-paying career in the renewable energy industry.
The Training Center gave me a launchpad into the solar industry. Within three months, I became a roof lead and advanced through several companies. Their training and focus on real-world skills—including professionalism—made all the difference. I’ve now enrolled in their Construction Electrician program.

The Training Center of Central Texas is unmatched in its service to the military-connected community. As a civic leader and keynote speaker at their graduation, I was deeply moved by the students’ emotional stories and inspired by the school’s visible leadership and active community support, including major initiatives like Wreaths for Vets.

After extensive research, I chose the Training Center for its stellar reputation and five-certification medical assistant program. Despite challenges from the VA, I stood by my decision because the staff, facility, and career pathways are second to none for veterans like me.

The demand for solar and electrical technicians has never been greater. Over 500,000 new solar and electrical jobs will be needed by 2030, and employers are actively hiring trained professionals who can install, maintain, and repair large-scale energy projects.
This means high salaries, job security, and the opportunity to travel the country. Many companies prefer to hire those with both electrical and solar training because they can work across multiple energy systems, making them more valuable and better paid.
