ADAPT - EMPOWER - THRIVE
Where Every Learner Follows a Different Curve
At Learning On A Curve, we believe that every student deserves an educational experience that honors their unique strengths, challenges, and pace.
Our team of educators and therapists specialize in supporting neurodiverse learners through personalized, adaptive approaches that work in homeschool settings and beyond. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your therapeutic and educational journey, we're here to help you adapt, empower, and thrive, every step of the way.
Stop chasing symptoms.
Start building a foundation.
Does every day feel challenging?
At Learning on a Curve, we look beneath the challenges
and behaviors to find the "Root."
Through holistic brain-based Pediatric Occupational and Speech Therapy, we help your child move past the struggle
and build the neurological foundations
they need to finally thrive, at home and beyond.
We believe that every student deserves an educational experience that honors their unique strengths, challenges, and pace.
Every child’s pace is different, and their therapy should be too. We specialize in supporting families in Manatee & surrounding counties, who need more than just a standard clinic visit.
Our dedicated coaches and therapists offer tailored treatments for Autism and neurodivergence that actually translate to your whole life. We bridge the gap between therapeutic intervention and educational goals, helping your child adapt, empower,
and thrive on a schedule that actually works for your life.
Support that doesn't stop when you leave the clinic. Therapy is more than just an hour a week. We know that the biggest challenges (and the biggest wins) happen at your kitchen table, during transitions, or in the middle of the week.
Our Continuous Support Memberships ensure you’re never left guessing. Access secure messaging and video check-ins with your pediatric OT and neurodiversity coaches for real-time guidance when you need it most. We stay connected so your child stays on track.
Stop guessing which strategy will work and start following a proven path. At Learning on a Curve, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Our team creates Individualized Neurodevelopmental Plans specifically for
children with ADHD, Autism, and more.
Your curated plan includes targeted primitive reflex exercises, sensory-rich activities, and evidence-based strategies designed to bridge the gap between struggle and success. Whether you are using Step Up For Students (UA/PEP) or private pay, we provide the exact tools you need to propel your child's progress forward.
What makes LOAC Therapy & Education Center different?
We combine functional neuroscience, pediatric occupational therapy, and coaching to build strong neurodevelopmental foundations. Our approach is not limited to traditional OT. We integrate transcranial photobiomoduation (light therapy), a multi sensory approach, sensory-motor integration, reflex integration and executive functioning tools to help the brain and body work together efficiently. We offer in person sessions at our clinic in Palmetto, Florida, virtual sessions throughout the state of FL and nationwide virtual coaching/tutoring.
Methods of Payment
At LOAC, we believe in providing therapy that is focused only on what what is best for your child, rather than being restricted by set strategies required by insurance companies. For this reason, we do not work directly with insurance companies. However, we will provide clients with superbills to submit on their own for possible reimbursement upon request.
We are a private pay practice and direct pay providers with t FL Step Up for Students Scholarships PEP/UA (and additional ESA programs nationwide).
We also provide flexible membership and intensive options to make services accessible for families.
What is Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)?
LLLT, also called photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to support cellular energy, reduce inflammation, and improve neural communication. Our systems include Avant infrared and green lasers and an infrared dome for calming and brain balance. Read more about it on our blog (various research articles and studies provided)Exploring Red Light and Low-Level Laser Therapy: A Non-Invasive Option for Neurodiverse Students
What are the visual-motor and brain training tools you use?
We use high-tech tools that track eye movement, visual perception, balance, and coordination. These tools help improve reading, writing, attention, and academic performance by strengthening how the brain processes visual information.
What are “Intensive Programs”?
We are currently planning our Summer 2026 OT and Speech Intensives.
Intensives are 1–2 week customized programs with daily sessions designed to jumpstart progress.
They’re ideal for:
- Busy families who live farther away
- Children who need a focused start to therapy
- Students with sensory, visual-motor, or regulation challenges
After an intensive, families can transition to a home or membership plan for continued progress.
What is the Membership Program?
The LOAC Membership allows families to stay connected, supported, and guided even if they can’t attend weekly sessions. It includes ongoing coaching, at-home plans, and access to online tools and community. We offer several levels of support memberships.
