About stepvideo
Recording the workflow was never the hard part. Editing it into something worth watching was.

What stepvideo is
stepvideo is a Chrome extension and a web app. You do a workflow once in Chrome and it cuts the recording into a how-to video: zooms on the controls you clicked, dead time removed, mistakes cut, an AI voiceover with word-by-word captions. The same take also becomes a written step-by-step guide. You edit steps, not a timeline.
It is for people documenting software: onboarding, support answers, standard operating procedures and product demos. The homepage walks through how it works, and the gallery lists the tutorials we are recording, with each one published as it is finished.
Who makes it
stepvideo is made by Easital Technologies Ltd.. The same company name appears on the privacy policy and the terms of service, which say what is recorded, what is stored and for how long.
Where to get it
The extension is on the Chrome Web Store; the install page explains what it does and does not capture. Every account starts with a 10-day free trial of 5 AI video minutes, no card; pricing lists the paid plans.
How we write
The comparison pages cover 12 other tools. Every claim about another product was read off that product’s own public pages, each page prints the sources it used and the day that page was last checked (the oldest is 15 August 2026), anything not stated there is marked unknown rather than guessed, and every page names the cases where the other tool is the better pick.
Blog posts carry a visible published date and an updated date, and the numbers in them (minutes, trial length, prices) are read from the same catalogue the product bills from, so they cannot go stale on their own.
