Game Feature Suggestions
With the new dev team, and a few changes happening around the game, we are in need of your game and feature ideas.
Use this thread to post your ideas.
It is important to note that posting an idea here does not guarantee it will be worked on or implemented.
What we'll do with your ideas:
- Consider for implementation
- Take creative inspiration
- Gauge what the community wants
What are we looking for?
We're open to pretty much anything. This can include:
- New gameplay features
- Improvements to existing features
- UI and quality-of-life improvements
- Multiplayer improvements
- Replay improvements
- Customisation / ToriShop features
- Modding / Scripting improvements
- Performance or technical fixes
- Anything else you think would genuinely improve the game
Ideas don't need to be completely original either. If there's an existing Toribash feature that you think could be improved, changed, or expanded upon, we'd like to hear about it.
You also don't need to know how your idea would be implemented technically. If you think something would make Toribash better, post it and explain how you'd like it to work; the devs will know if it's viable or not.
How should I post my idea?
There isn't a strict format you need to follow, but providing some information about your idea will make it much easier for us to understand what you're suggesting. Some starting points:
What's the idea?
Why would it improve Toribash?
How would you like it to work? (optional)
Please try to explain why you think your suggestion would improve the game, rather than only posting the name of a feature.
Feel free to discuss other people's suggestions, expand on their ideas, or show your support for features you'd particularly like to see.
What happens to these suggestions?
We (the dev team) will use this thread as a place to look through community ideas and get a better understanding of what you want to see.
Community interest in an idea will absolutely be useful for gauging what players want, but
popularity does not guarantee implementation. Some ideas may not be technically achievable, may not fit the tone of the game, or may simply not be a priority.
Even if an idea isn't implemented directly, it may still be useful as inspiration for something similar.
When will we start pushing new updates?
We're working behind the scenes to make pushing updates easier. We don't currently have a timeline on that, but we'll keep you updated where we can.
In the meantime, we're already hard at work on the first update.
We hope to start bringing out features and improvements that the community genuinely wants and needs, and this thread will help us better understand where our priorities should lie.
