(Beaumont, TX) – Did you know that October is the busiest month in Beaumont? Museum Madness is coming back to Beaumont for another spooky fun year, but this time it’s bigger and better!
The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is teaming up with 11 museum partners for an entire month of activities. This year’s Museum Madness Month offers everything from pumpkin walks to cemetery tours, bug eating to owl pellet dissection...there is truly something to keep your whole family entertained and engaged next month. Each partner has curated their own events specifically geared toward educating participants and patrons about their museum and the various fun, interactive activities.
Last year’s Museum Madness offered a weeklong slate of activities, but Museum Madness 2026 has something taking place every weekend of the month. There’s even a “Boo-tanical Ball” fundraiser being hosted by the Beaumont Botanical Gardens on October 23. Another unique experience being offered this year is the Magnolia Cemetery Tour, taking place on October 15 and 17. Participants will experience a guided tour of the historic cemetery with information shared about its history and some of the “residents”.
If cemeteries aren’t your thing, you can try your hand at eating a fried bug at AMSET’s “Eat-a-Bug” Family Arts Day, happening on Saturday, October 17, or become an Owl Investigator at the Tyrrell Park Nature and Visitor Center’s Owl Pellet Mystery interactive workshop on October 18, where you can learn hooooo calls our Cattail Marsh home.
According to John Beaver, Beaumont CVB Director of Tourism, “Museum Madness has grown over the last several years, and every year we’re so excited to see the increase interest in our museums and in downtown Beaumont. Museum Madness Month is a great time for the community and visitors to Beaumont.”
