Do I need a developer to set this up?+

No. You log in with Etsy, build a template in our editor, and assign it to listings — no code, no theme edits. Most shops are live in under 15 minutes.

Should I use pre-purchase or post-purchase flow?+

Pre-purchase is best when buyers want to preview the design before committing — it lifts conversion for higher-priced custom items. Post-purchase removes friction at checkout and is best for impulse buys and simpler personalization. Many shops mix both per listing.

Do my buyers need a Customix account?+

No. The customization page is hosted by us but feels like a part of your shop. Buyers just personalize and go — no signup, no extra password.

How does the Etsy pricing work?+

Flat $19.99 / month, plus a per-item transaction fee that gets cheaper at volume. The fee only applies to personalized items — non-customizable listings are free.

Is there a free trial?+

Yes — every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Cancel anytime before it ends, no charge.

Where do print-ready files go?+

Every personalized order in your Customix dashboard includes a high-resolution print-ready file (PNG, PDF, JPG, SVG, or TIFF — your choice). You can also export them as CSV or wire up a webhook to your fulfillment partner.
