How many games will Oregon win in the regular season?

Six Lessons Learned in order of importance.

Lanning should bring in, myself or an outside consultant as soon as possible, a coaching influence who is not drinking the coolaid. This will counter and help lots of finger pointing at coordinators.

DL if you can't get any pressure on the opposing QB the season is over, so this is the first thing to fix. OSU was likely holding a great deal as most teams hold a great deal, perhaps some skill building in hand fighting techniques. If you can't get a rush on the QB or stop the run, then you must blitz especially on first down to get them behind the sticks for the series.

OC stop calling a predictable run on first down. OSU sold out to stuff our runs on first down, placing the offense behind the sticks on many series. If you are going to repeatedly run dives on first down, then Dante must run the option, he had 11 yards rushing versus an OSU QB who had over 100 yards and ran to win.

OC 2 throws to the TE and 1 catch? WTF. When the opposing team is selling out to stop the run you must counter with TE delays over the vacating linebackers. We need 8 to 10 TE passes per game and similar under-utilization of Star Receivers 4/7 Dmoore and 4/6 EStewart, you have to double this, for example Jeremiah Smith for Ohio State was 8/13 at HALF TIME, what in the world are you doing? We recruit star WR to make 4 catches a game?

OC No Rushing attack, no misdirection, no reverses, no fly sweeps, since the opposing defense knows you are running straight ahead or off tackle then it is pretty darn easy to stuff the run, no creativity.

Lanning, stop going for it on fourth down in a close game, leave this crap for the blowout games. The punt and field possession is a weapon, and you are not weighing the DEMORZLIZING Effect of not making the first down and since three of the issues above are with the OC, it is not very bright to over-play your cards; know when to fold them.
