Take My Money: Stores From The ’90s We Wish We Had Back

Once upon a time, I didn't have a mortgage, and I didn't know what car insurance was. It was magical. We also had way cool stores in the mall, like The Body Shop and KB Toys. Now all we have is rheumatoid arthritis, hemorrhoids, and Kohl's.

The list of stores in the mall I miss is long and brings a tear to my eye. So let's make a list and cry together, shall we?

Stores we miss from the 90's

• Mentioned earlier in the article, let's talk about KB Toys. In the '90s, specifically at the Foothills Fashion Mall in Fort Collins, we had multiple toy store options. KB was at the top of the list, below Toys R Us, obviously. I still remember going in as a kid and pressing every button on every loud and obnoxious toy in the store. Those poor employees.
• Wannna treat yo self? Head on over to The Body Shop for some shea body butter or maybe some Dewberry lotion with matching lip gloss. This was where us poor folks went for luxury and class. It was located between the Chinese food buffet and Forever 21.
• Speaking of Forever 21, let's talk about the killer clothes they sold, like chunky belts and belly sweaters. Because who doesn't get cold only in the top half of their body, not the bottom half? When I shopped there, I remember thinking, "21 is such a cool age, and I can't wait to get there in one million years." That was more than 21 years ago. Let me say that again. It's been 21 years since I turned 21. Do the math and grab me some stool softener, please.
• Long before MP3's and Apple Music, we had Sam Goody. SG was the mecca of the 90's when it came to music. There was nothing quite like waiting for the store to open because the new Jessica Simpson was coming out today. Not that I did that or anything. That would be lame.

I know there are so many stores I'm missing, but this is just a start to take you back to a simpler time because paying taxes sucks so hard.

Have a great night.
