What does the monthly base fee include?
Retail Cloud Connect connects your Shopify catalog and user events to Google AI Commerce Search. The base fee covers the platform and catalog synchronization; search and browse usage is billed separately. Starter begins at $99 for 5,000 SKUs and adds $50 for each additional 10,000-SKU tier up to 75,000 SKUs.
Which plan fits 75,000 or 150,000 SKUs?
At 75,000 SKUs, the Starter base fee is $449/month. Above 75,000 through 150,000 SKUs, this calculator recommends Growth at $499/month. Above 150,000 it recommends Enterprise from $999/month. This recommendation uses catalog size only; a smaller store can still need Enterprise capabilities. Confirm feature and support requirements with our team.
Do I pay Google Cloud separately?
Starter and Growth combine the base fee and $3 per 1,000 search and browse queries on your Shopify bill, including hosted Google Cloud serving costs. Enterprise adds $0.30 per 1,000 queries to the Nimstrata base fee, while Google Cloud bills your usage separately. The Enterprise estimate uses Google's $2.50 per 1,000 search and browse requests list price; negotiated rates may differ.
Are recommendations included in this calculator?
No. This estimates search and browse only. Enterprise supports Recommendations AI, but prediction charges, model training and tuning, and other Google Cloud services are outside this estimate. The Shopify listing shows a separate Nimstrata charge of $0.03 per 1,000 recommendation predictions; Google Cloud charges also apply.
Are autocomplete and event ingestion billed as search queries?
No. Nimstrata's billing documentation states that autocomplete requests and real-time user event ingestion do not incur separate serving fees. Search, collection browsing, filtering, and pagination can generate billable search and browse requests; use your actual request volume when available.
Do you offer discounted pricing for multiple stores?
Yes. Contact our team for a multi-store quote. Test and development stores are not charged. This calculator uses standard plan rates and does not apply negotiated discounts.
