The Lumix is also $200 cheaper than the Nikon. For photography, having a mechanical shutter is definitely an advantage, while for video, the S9 is my clear favorite. I hope the future S9 II will have a mechanical shutter—and, in my dream world, an integrated EVF as well. Obviously, these additions would also make the camera more expensive.
