It was originally created by Google with the intention of helping webpages load faster with mobile web browsers. It has received a lot of criticism from both users and developers alike.</p><h2>Why Disable AMP?</h2><p>Many people find AMP to be frustrating. For example it prevents using the ability to scroll to the top of the page by tapping the top of the screen and often shows a reduced version of the requested website that includes less features.</p><p>There are a lot of examples of people voicing their dislike for AMP, such as:</p><ul><li><a href="https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13383175" title="I hate AMP.
