As a church, we were doing 209 a bible study called "40 Days of Purpose" based on Rick Warren's book "The Purpose Driven Life." However, it wasn't until the 210 beginning of Summer 2004 that I accepted God's call on my life to be a singer and songwriter. Immediately after accepting 211 God's call on my life, I began turning all of the emotions that I felt towards and about God into songs. By the end of that 212 summer, I had written around 10 songs, all inspired by God. Little did I know, God was putting into place a series of events 213 that would drastically change by life. I officially became the 227 Worship Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in 2007. I have been staying busy lately preparing three services a week, scheduling and 228 leading orchestra practices, preparing a Christmas cantata and Easter Drama for the choir, and everything else that goes along with 229 this position. It has been a busy year, but I know that God is in it. 230 </p> 231 <p>I would ask that you please be in prayer for me as I fulfill this role. Pray that I continue to learn, keep God at the center of 232 the worship services, and am able to continue the ministry that He started in my heart over three years ago.
