Without good health, a parent cannot take care of their family, nor can a child meet their full potential. As a result, communities miss out on a chance to grow and contribute to their collective wellbeing. Access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, it is a human right, and we work towards making that a reality, especially for the most vulnerable communities."},{"key":"how","heading":"How Do We Do It?","body":"At Doctors Worldwide, we strive to improve the health of communities by working in partnership with international, national and grassroots organisations. We support locally identified needs through building or rehabilitating health facilities, ensuring essential medical equipment and supplies, delivering training, as well as expert medical advice and guidance on service development. Having witnessed the Balkan conflicts of Bosnia and Kosovo and the challenges faced by non-medical experts in delivering health programmes, a group of international medics collaborated and launched Doctors Worldwide with a simple aim; to help local communities to develop, build and sustain health services for a healthier and happier future.\\n\\nSince our launch we have delivered more than a hundred healthcare projects across Asia, Africa and Central America. We have responded to many of the serious emergencie
1s and disasters of recent years such as the 2004 Asian Tsunami in Sri Lanka, the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, as well as the 2011 East Africa Famine. In 2010 & 2011 we responded to the floods in Pakistan and in 2017 the Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh. Recently we have responded to the 2020 Coronavirus crisis.\\n\\nDoctors Worldwide has expanded to include chapters globally such as DWW Turkey, DWW Pakistan and DWW USA. Our team of volunteers and staff come from all backgrounds and professions to ensure our collaborative approach continues to have integrity and clinical excellence at its heart."},{"key":"different","heading":"What’s Different About Us?","body":"We are an independent charity having been funded entirely by public donations. We are not a faith organisation or a political one. However, we do recognise the importance of cultural, religious and universal humanitarian values. By linking medical expertise with cultural knowledge and values, we can build capacity, empower local communities, and produce effective solutions that will leave a lasting legacy long after we have gone."},{"key":"support","heading":"Why Support Us?","body":"We believe everyone has the basic human right to good healthcare. Our work would not be possible without donors and committed supporters like you. We realise that sustainability comes by being committed to local communities for the long term. Our expertise in creative solutions and experience in healthcare means we work towards a low cost and high impact model of delivery."}]}');var c=!0;function d(e){var i,t,c,d,h,u,m,p,g,x,f,b,y,v,w,j,k,N,W,A,_;let{cmsPage:S}=e,O=(0,o.Z5)(S||r),D=((null==(i=O.intro)?void 0:i.heading)||"Our Story").split(" ");return(0,a.jsxs)("div",{children:[(0,a.jsx)(s.A,{}),(0,a.jsx)("section",{className:"relative h-72 md:h-96 overflow-hidden",children:(0,a.jsx)("img",{className:"w-full h-full object-cover object-center",src:null==(t=O.hero)?void 0:t.image})}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 md:mt-10 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsxs)("h1",{className:"text-5xl md:text-6xl uppercase font-light",children:[D[0]," ",(0,a.jsx)("span",{className:"font-extrabold",children:D.slice(1).join(" ")})]}),(0,a.jsx)("p",{className:"italic text-base",children:null==(c=O.intro)?void 0:c.subheading})]}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsx)("h2",{className:"text-3xl capitalize font-semibold",children:null==(d=O.why)?void 0:d.heading}),(0,a.jsx)("p",{className:"italic text-base",children:null==(h=O.why)?void 0:h.subheading}),(0,o.u_)(null==(u=O.why)?void 0:u.body).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("p",{children:e},e.slice(0,40)))]}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsx)("h2",{className:"text-3xl capitalize font-semibold",children:null==(m=O.how)?void 0:m.heading}),(0,o.u_)(null==(p=O.how)?void 0:p.body).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("p",{children:e},e.slice(0,40))),(0,a.jsx)("ul",{className:"list-disc list-inside ml-3",children:((null==(g=O.how)?void 0:g.items)||[]).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("li",{children:e.text},e.text.slice(0,40)))})]}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsx)("h2",{className:"text-3xl capitalize font-semibold",children:null==(x=O.theoryIf)?void 0:x.heading}),(0,a.jsx)("p",{children:null==(f=O.theoryIf)?void 0:f.body}),(0,a.jsx)("ul",{className:"list-disc list-inside ml-3",children:((null==(b=O.theoryIf)?void 0:b.items)||[]).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("li",{children:e.text},e.text.slice(0,40)))}),(0,a.jsx)("p",{children:null==(y=O.theoryThen)?void 0:y.body}),(0,a.jsx)("ul",{className:"list-disc list-inside ml-3",children:((null==(v=O.theoryThen)?void 0:v.items)||[]).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("li",{children:e.text},e.text.slice(0,40)))}),(0,o.u_)(null==(w=O.theoryResult)?void 0:w.body).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("p",{children:e},e.slice(0,40)))]}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsx)("h2",{className:"text-3xl capitalize font-semibold",children:null==(j=O.beginnings)?void 0:j.heading}),(0,o.u_)(null==(k=O.beginnings)?void 0:k.body).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("p",{className:"my-2",children:e},e.slice(0,40)))]}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsx)("h2",{className:"text-3xl capitalize font-semibold",children:null==(N=O.different)?void 0:N.heading}),(0,o.u_)(null==(W=O.different)?void 0:W.body).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("p",{className:"my-2",children:e},e.slice(0,40)))]}),(0,a.jsxs)("section",{className:"container mx-auto mt-8 flex flex-col gap-2 px-10",children:[(0,a.jsx)("h2",{className:"text-3xl capitalize font-semibold",children:null==(A=O.support)?void 0:A.heading}),(0,o.u_)(null==(_=O.support)?void 0:_.body).map(e=>(0,a.jsx)("p",{className:"my-2",children:e},e.slice(0,40)))]}),(0,a.jsx)(n.A,{}),(0,a.jsx)(l.A,{})]})}},49136:(e,i,t)=>{"use strict";t.d(i,{A:()=>s});var a=t(37876),n=t(14232);let s=()=>
