These start-of-the-art 92 systems have begun transforming the manner in which infrared seekers may be evaluated in a 93 non-destructive laboratory environment. Optical Sciences Corporation provides the integration, 94 calibration, operation, and maintenance services in support of the AvMC dynamic infrared 95 projector systems. Optical Sciences Corporation also designs and manufactures several of the 96 projector systems used with the HWIL facilities. Each projector system is based on 97 state-of-the-art technology requiring a uniquely trained engineering staff to insure proper 98 calibration and operation. To date, these dynamic scene projectors have been successfully 99 applied to the closed-loop testing of several theater and tactical missile systems which employ 100 infrared seekers. 101

Emitter-Based
DMD-Based
Laser-Based

Emitter-Based 107

109 Emitter arrays are two-dimensional mosaic collections of thermal resistors. Infrared 110 scene projector (IRSP) systems based on emitter arrays are actively employed within the 111 AvMC HWIL test facilities. Historically, these devices have been manufactured 112 by two companies: Honeywell Technology Center(HTC) and Santa Barbara Infrared Corporation 113 (SBIR). HTC emitter arrays have been manufactured for a variety of applications and under 114 many model names. These models include: WISP, BRITE, CRISP, NODDS, DIRSP, and 115 MSSP. SBIR has manufactured emitter arrays under a single model name, MIRAGE. 116

Optical Sciences Corporation provides the integration, calibration, operation and maintenance 118 services required for the implementation of the HTC and SBIR emitter array based IRSPs employed 119 at AvMC's HWIL laboratories. OSC has developed extensive GUI-based system control 120 software packages for supporting these projector systems. 121

Example HTC Emitter Array IRSP Output Images

The following images were projected using an HTC emitter array based IRSP. Line numbers count LF bytes from the start of the resource, as the search results do. Vendor segments are library code the classifier recognised; they are stored but not indexed. Bytes are shown as Latin1 characters, one per byte.
