Holding a doctorate in Musical Arts,</p><p>Mark specialises in performance, composition, improvisation, and theory.</p><p>Mark has collaborated with award-winning artists including Latin Grammy Award-winner Mireya Ramos, Troy Kingi, and Claire Gowan, contributed as a guest arranger for the Royal New Zealand Ballet, served as a musical director in the Middle East, and toured with the UK’s Tony Christie. As part of the duo Goldsmith Baynes, he co-created the acclaimed debut album E Rere Rā. Josh has collaborated with leading artists in the New Zealand music scene on projects spanning diverse genres and creative platforms. His expertise extends to designing innovative curricula, including DAW-focused courses, and developing performance-driven programs that celebrate artistry and collaboration. As an educator, Josh is passionate about empowering students to find their unique voice, master their craft, and confidently navigate the evolving music industry.
