Elle n’était célébrée jusqu’à récemment qu’à Jérusalem et dans quelques monastères le jour de sa fête, et par les communautés syriennes. Cette Liturgie était régulièrement célébrée dans toute la Palestine, à Chypre, Alexandrie, au Mont Sinaï et en Italie de sud jusqu’au IXè siècle. En 1938, le Métropolite Anastase, de l’Eglise Russe Hors-Frontières, assisté de plusieurs évêques, a célébré pour la première fois cette Liturgie d’après la traduction slavonne du texte grec. En France, il semble que ce soit le Père Alexandre Troubnikoff qui l’ait célébrée pour la première fois. Notre paroisse étant dédiée à Saint Jacques, nous avons souhaité rétablir cet usage avec la bénédiction de notre archevêque.</span></div></div>
