160             <em>Decomposition Magazine  (ISSN: 1947-0436)&nbsp; </em>was founded in April 2004 by Mike Smith as an online, bimonthly, literary magazine. In December 2007, Smith stepped down from his position and handed the reins to Jason Jordan, who renamed it "decomP magazinE," and led the journal as the Editor-in-Chief until 2019, when he handed it to the Social Justice Institute at the University of British Columbia, who again renamed it <i><a href="http://www.decompjournal.com">decomp journal</a></i>. Work in <i>decomp</i> has been recognized by various award series such as The &NOW Awards: The Best Innovative Writing, Best of the Net, The Best Small Fictions, Micro Award, Million Writers Award, and The <i>Wigleaf</i> Top 50 (Very) Short Fictions.
