Using produce sourced from obscure varieties of fruits and refining recipes to perfection, their products are bursting with flavor and boast addictive qualities that make them disappear quickly.
448
Their pitch-perfect BBQ sauce, hitting the ideal vinegary sweet balance with a touch of heat, has fast become our favorite summer condiment. As recommended by the makers, the sauce is as delicious on grilled meats as it is on sandwiches, fries and any other excuse you can find to get it into your mouth.
449
We Love Jam made their name with their exceptional Blenheim Apricot Jam. The makers started with the apricot variety back in 2002, producing an apricot jam with a superior flavor, color and texture to all other versions. They since discovered that the Blenheim is an endangered tree, which combined with its popularity makes for extremely limited quantities and a waiting list.
450
451
452 453

Blenheim is also a type of apricot, and Blenheim apricots were indeed grown on the grounds of Blenheim Palace in the 19th century; in due course the fruit, taking its way ever westward, arrived in California. You can occasionally find Blenheims at farmers markets; in addition, if you like or even love jam, they can be found in the jam produced by welovejam.com, a tiny San Francisco concern that until recently was making its entire production of apricot jam from the fruit of a single Blenheim tree in the Santa Clara valley.
460
The duo behind WLJ don't use the word "love" lightly. Their entire enterprise (whose roots are traceable to some impromptu jam-making in 2002) is about passion, not money, from the saving of a particular type of apricot to the packaging of everything they make in containers that are either recyclable or compostable.
461
At the moment, WLJ looks a little the way Recchiuti Confections did a few years ago: it's a tiny and unlikely freckle on the face of the food business. But WLJ's products could soon be coming to Bi-Rite â and from there, who knows?
462
463
464 465 466
467
More Press Coverage
468
469
Associated Press 2025 Holiday Gift Guide
470
Martha Stewart Living Magazine 4/2020
471
New York Magazine 4/2020
472
New York Times â The 57 Best Gifts Under $100
473
Get Toasted: Tasting Table, 3/8/11
474
Jam Sessions: San Francisco Chronicle, 5/28/08
475
They Love Jam: David Lebovitz, 12/26/07
476
Apartment Therapy's The Kitchn 10/15/08
477
Best of the City / Best Jam: 7x7 Magazine, 6/18/08
478
Cue up the 'cots: San Francisco Magazine, 06/08
479
We Love Jam: KQED, 08/23/07
480
PureWow 02/03/11
481
TheDieline: welovejam, 06/17/08
482
Wallpaper Magazine, Entertaining Issue, 12/08
483
Wallpaper Magazine, Space Issue, 08/09
484
C Magazine, 03/09
485
Daily Candy 07/09
486
Daily Candy 06/10
487
Open Book â American Express 08/09
488
Chow 07/16/08
489
Boston Globe, 01/18/07
490
Radio Interview, The Food Chain, 08/25/07
491
San Francisco Examiner, 06/23-24/07
492
San Jose Mercury News, 09/5/07
493
Askam Newspaper 12/31/09
494
Istanbul Contemporary 12/09
495
Slow Food Nation Inaugural Certificate, 08/08
496
Slow Food Nation Hoshigaki Video 09/08
497
Slow Food Nation Blenheim Apricot Video 09/08
498
499
500 501 502
Customer Comments
503 504
505
Cambridge, MA
506
I almost fainted⦠the shipment I just received 20 minutes ago was that good. I am going to buy some more today. You nailed it with that one. Another favorite for me is the cherry and peach one, that truly is summer in a jar and we used one of the jars to make a nice crostata for dessert one night. Really looking forward to opening the jar of the clementine tomato jam I got as well. These have become my favorite tomatoes albeit hard to find grown on a large scale on the East Coast. I have been growing some in my garden and use them to churn out small quantities of tomato sauce that I freeze for the winter months when I need a reminder of warmer days. The strawberry parfait apple and cherry jam was quite good an unique as well. 529 530My wife wanted me to tell you that the Mandarine Jasmine Marmalade is

She asked if I would email to ask if you would please make some again when in season as she said she will have me order enough to supply her for the year. 531 532Thanks again for all you do, I donât know how often people email you to give compliments (I hope that they do) but your jams have brought my family a lot of happiness over the years.
