144It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Valdemar Prado, Vice-President of the World Association of Former United Nations Interns and Fellows (WAFUNIF), a respected leader, and a cherished friend.</p> 145 146 <p>Dr. Prado served WAFUNIF with unwavering dedication, integrity, and a deep belief in the mission and values of the United Nations. His leadership was marked by wisdom, humility, and a quiet strength that inspired trust and unity. He believed deeply in dialogue, international cooperation, and the responsibility of former UN interns and fellows to contribute meaningfully to a more just and peaceful world.</p> 147 148 <p>For many within WAFUNIF, and for those who worked alongside him across the international community, Dr. Prado was more than a colleague. He was a source of thoughtful counsel, encouragement, and steadfast support.
