If it\'s listed as "special" or not listed at all it\'s "special".']}),"\n",(0,n.jsxs)(a.p,{children:['If you run a project or business that uses one of the "special" SNS names I own, ',(0,n.jsx)(a.strong,{children:"reach out to me on X"}),"."]}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"I can transfer them for a small fee that covers my cost of labor."}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.h2,{id:"what-happens-if-no-one-steps-forward-by-the-time-such-and-such-name-expires",children:"What happens if no one steps forward by the time such-and-such name expires?"}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"I can let that SNS expire in which case the project or business that wants it has to race against others who may want to acquire that same name for resale or own use."}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"That approach seems bad, so I plan to auction such names starting in late 2025 or early 2026 (i.e. 2-3 months before they expire)."}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.h2,{id:"how-is-auctioning-them-better-than-letting-them-expire",children:"How is auctioning them better than letting them expire?"}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:'As explained above, letting them expire doesn\'t mean the "right" user (if that can be determined at all!) would succeed to get that name.'}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"It's equally likely that a competitor or squatter gets the name. If three people compete for registering the domain, each person's odds are 1/3."}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"The second problem is discoverability/visibility mentioned earlier. How does a person even learn of Supra to begin with?"}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:'Someone who realizes a "special" SNS name they want is registered today should be be relieved to find that it is not available for sale in open market and - assuming they represent a business that makes use of such name - they could easily get it right away.'}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"But, it is almost certain that many users who'll one day want that \"special\" SNS name won't even learn of SupraNS before my special SNS names expire in March 2026."}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:"If these special names aren't on the market (as they aren't on SupraNS.name now), they have no visibiliy. It's hard to discover them and that makes it less likely that those who may want them will become aware of them in 2025. Because of that:"}),"\n",(0,n.jsxs)(a.ul,{children:["\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.li,{children:"If they reach out in 2025, they'll get them affordably and easily (as long as they represent a business or project that ought to own the SNS)"}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.li,{children:"If they by some chance don't pay attention in 2025, they would probably appreciate to learn in early 2026 that the name they may want appeared at some auction marketplace and get a chance to buy them at the price they can afford"}),"\n"]}),"\n",(0,n.jsxs)(a.p,{children:["In order to get a second chance and gain visibility before they expire, these special names ",(0,n.jsx)(a.em,{children:"should"})," hit the market."]}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:'The worst case: a name expires and gets squatted by a "hard-ass squatter" who wants US$20,000 for it or - even worse - an impostor, scammer or competitor.'}),"\n",(0,n.jsx)(a.p,{children:'The "best" case: a name expires and no one wants to use it, so you get a chance to register it in days or weeks after that. If your "special" SNS name is not worth the Dexlyn SNS registration fee, that might work.'}
