This presentation explores insights assembled from collaborative research conducted between TNO-ESI and the Dutch high-tech industry, emphasizing the pivotal role of domain models in tandem with data science and AI techniques. 498 499 500 Drawing from tangible examples, we posit that (domain) models, firmly rooted in precise syntax and semantics, serve as indispensable cornerstones for the success of the application of AI in industry. While AI models significantly contribute to opening the door to new applications, enhancing engineering processes, and increasing efficiency, they cannot entirely replace the fundamental role domain models play. This keynote explores the dynamic interplay between these components, shedding light on their nuanced relationships within engineering. 501
502 503
504
505 506 507
508
509
510 511
512
513
514 Natalia Sidorova 515
517
Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands.
518
BIO: 519 Natalia Sidorova is a member of Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute 520 and of the Process analytics group of Eindhoven University of Technology. 521 Her research interests include algorithms and techniques for process analytics using 522 data-driven approaches. Our objective is to extract meaningful 541 events from unstructured text data, leveraging domain knowledge and tailoring techniques to 542 weakly-structured processes. 543 The methods will be illustrated through case studies from the healthcare industry, shedding light 544 on the real-world applications of our research.
545
546
547 548 549
550 551 552 553
554 555 556 557
558 559
560
561
Symposium Schedule
562
- CET TIME -
563
DataMod will take place in the building <a href="https://www.google.nl/maps/place/MetaForum/@51.4459907,5.485752,15z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x47c6d8e04bc52af9:0x20fe44840cbbb233!8m2!3d51.4468853!4d5.4874
