Broadly, one thread of my research explores how to aggregate individual preferences into collective decisions, with applications ranging from democratic systems (such as citizens' assemblies) to AI alignment (such as RLHF). Another thread focuses on algorithmic fairness in AI systems, drawing on multidisciplinary ideas with applications ranging from clustering to peer review. 71 72 73 74
75 76Before joining USC, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, working with Ariel Procaccia. 77 I completed my PhD degree in the Department of Computer Science at the 78 79 University of Toronto, where I was part of the Theory Group and advised by Nisarg Shah. 80 I was also affiliated with the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence and the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society. 81 82 93 94
95 96 97 98 99 100
101 102 103
104 105 106 107
