Previously, I earned my Master's degree in <a href="https://rw.ethz.ch/" target="_blank">Computational Science and Engineering</a> from ETH Zurich and my Bachelor's in Physics from ShanghaiTech University. I enjoy solving real-world geometry problems in computational design and fabrication, as well as simulation problems in animation and robotics. I believe, to understand better physics simulation, we need to learn more about geometry. Please feel free to contact me if our interests align. 96</p> <p> 97 During my master study, I worked on modeling soft robots with <a href="https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=xxCOii8AAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate" target="_blank">Mike Y. Michelis</a> and Prof. Andrew Spielberg. I finished my master thesis at <a href="https://igl.ethz.ch/" target="_blank">Interactive Geometry Lab</a> supervised by Prof. Olga Sorkine-Hornung. I was also an open-source contributor in Julia community before and implemented some high-performance numerical ODE solvers. 98</p> In my spare time, I enjoyed board games, manga and anime. I also had a great time doing Super Kondi when I was in Zurich. 99 </div> 100 101 </div> 102 103 </div> 104 <hr /> 105 <div class="row"> 106 <div class="col"> 107 <a class="pr-3" href="mailto:[email protected]"> 108 <i class="fas fa-at"></i> <span class="email-text">junpengg(at)andrew.cmu.edu</span> 109 </a> 110 111 <a class="pr-3 no-break" target="_blank" href="https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=Ht1FIVwAAAAJ"> 112 <i class="fab fa-google-scholar"></i> Google Scholar 113 </a> 114 115 116 117 <a class="pr-3 no-break" target="_blank" href="https://github.com/junpenggao233"> 118 <i class="fab fa-github"></i> GitHub 119 </a> 120 121 122 123 124 125 126 127 <a class="pr-3 no-break" target="_blank" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/junpeng-gao-04574917b"> 128 <i class="fab fa-linkedin"></i> LinkedIn 129 </a> 130 131 132 133 </div> 134 </div> 135 </div> 136 </div> 137 </div> 138</div> 139 140 141 142 143 144 <div class="row mt-3"> 145 <div class="col"> 146 <div class="card border-0 shadow-sm bg-white"> 147 <div class="card-body p-4"> 148 <div class="row" data-masonry='{"percentPosition": true }'> 149 150 <div class="col-lg-6"> 151 <div class="mx-2 my-1"> 152 <h6>Education</h6> 153 <ul class="list-unstyled mb-1"> 154 155 <li class="media mb-1"> 156 <img src="/assets/images/badges/CMU.jpg" alt="Carnegie Mellon University" style="width: 32px; height: 32px; object-fit: contain;
