2

27 `.trim(),mission:`
28

41 `.trim(),vision:`
42

75
The aeotool story started with a brutal realization, one morning in March 2023, in front of a screen open on Perplexity. Ismaël.C. had typed a mundane commercial query in a sector he knew by heart. The answer was flawless: synthetic, sourced, citing. And among the seven sources cited, none was the historic leader of that sector. None.

76
77
That day, something became obvious. Search had flipped. Engines were no longer redirecting to links : they were formulating answers. And to enter those answers, it was no longer enough to rank well: you had to be citable by a machine that alone decides who deserves to be mentioned.

78
79
Ismaël.C. had spent fifteen years building intelligent systems. Software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, LLM Ops. He had shipped autonomous agents to production, orchestrated multi-model pipelines, audited RAG knowledge bases. He knew the guts of answer engines. He knew how an LLM segments a page, how it evaluates the confidence it assigns to a source, how it builds its own answer from a vectorized corpus. But he had never applied this understanding to a marketing problem.

80
81
In the months that followed, he started auditing sites for friends, former clients, French-speaking entrepreneurs. The pattern repeated itself with chilling regularity: technically correct sites, well ranked on Google, perfectly designed for human clicks : and totally invisible to AI engines. No usable structured data. No semantic hierarchy. No declared entities. No FAQPage. Nothing to tell an LLM: this is who I am, this is what I know, here is why you can cite me with confidence.

82
83
Classical SEO was still necessary, but it had become insufficient. The web was entering the age of generated answers, and 95 percent of French and French-speaking sites were not ready.

84
85
From diagnostic to audit engine

86
87
Ismaël.C. started with a manual checklist: a series of checks drawn from his audits, covering Schemas, E-E-A-T signals, semantic structure, AI bot accessibility. Ten criteria, then twenty, then thirty. Very quickly, he understood that the problem could not be solved by hand. An engine was needed. An automated system able to score any site in less than five minutes, with weighted and traced criteria, and produce a report the client could read without an engineering degree.

88
89
The first aeotool prototype was born in May 2024: a Cheerio crawler, an analysis prompt sent to Gemini, thirty criteria. The score was stable, the reading was clear, the diagnostic was actionable. He audited sixty sites in two months. The results converged: average score 3.2 out of 10. No site reached 5. The problem was systemic.

90
91
During the winter of 2024-2025, Ismaël.C. rewrote the engine. He replaced the 30 makeshift criteria with a grid of 67 criteria organized into 13 categories, with weighting calibrated on observed behaviors of GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended. He added live citation tests via a multi-LLM integration, able to query GPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity with the same prompt to verify who was actually being cited. He instrumented the engine with PDF reports, prioritized action plans, and a stable API to integrate results into client dashboards.

92
93
From tool to service

94
95
The engine was only half the problem. Identifying a site's flaws is useful but insufficient: you also have to know how to fix them. Ismaël.C. therefore built, in parallel, a complete rebuild methodology. Eleven phases, from audit to delivery, capable of transforming a site scoring 2.9 out of 10 into a site scoring 8.8 out of 10 in six weeks : a result reproduced on real clients, in sectors as varied as DIY retail, passenger transport, logistics and restaurants.

96
97
In 2026, aeotool has become a platform: a SaaS audit engine open to all, a library of documented client cases, a rigorous AEO glossary, and a tailor-made rebuild practice for companies that want to take back the initiative against AI answer engines. The foundations are French-speaking, the ambition is European.

98
99
This site exists because one day, an AI answered a commercial query without mentioning the one who should have been the primary source. It exists to make sure this does not happen to you.

100 `.trim(),mission:`
101
Our mission is simple and demanding: make French-speaking companies citable, verifiable and preferred by AI answer engines.

102
103
Every day, hundreds of millions of queries are addressed to ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot. Each of these queries generates an answer composed from a small number of sources chosen by the model. Being absent from that panel means disappearing from the answer web : a web that already represents more than 30 percent of discovery traffic in some B2B sectors.

104
105
We exist to reverse this balance of power. Concretely, this means three things:

106
107

108
Measure what matters. We designed an audit grid of 67 criteria, derived from direct observation of AI bot behavior and the technical literature on Schema.org, E-E-A-T, llms.txt, robots.txt and semantic HTML. Each criterion is scored, weighted, traced and justified. No opinion, no buzzword.

109
Fix what matters. We deliver prioritized action plans, technical implementation kits for internal IT teams, or full turnkey rebuilds for SMEs without in-house developers. The result is measurable: AEO score before, AEO score after, impact on real citations in AI engines.

110
Defend the French-speaking web. Most AEO research is produced in English, for English sites, with English benchmarks. We calibrate our tools and methodologies for French, Latin languages, and the cultural specifics of our markets.

111

112
113

113We do not sell an audience promise. We sell a change of position on the AI answer engine chessboard, and the certainty that your company will be recognized for what it is : not for what an algorithm thought it understood in its absence.

114 `.trim(),vision:`
115
By 2028, half of commercial queries in French-speaking Europe will be made on an AI answer engine. Our vision is that no serious company should be left out of these answers for lack of tools, method or understanding.

116
117
The web as we know it, ten blue links, one results page and a click, already belongs to the past. The new usages are conversational, synthetic, based on the trust granted to a small number of identified sources. In that web, editorial authority, factual rigor and structured data transparency are worth more than a Google Ads campaign.

118
119
We want AEO to become as structured and tooled a discipline as SEO became between 2005 and 2015. This requires:

120
121

122
A solid French-speaking literature, with a shared glossary, public benchmarks, documented use cases, and open research.

123
Verifiable audit tools, with explicit criteria, reproducible scores, and contestable action plans.

124
A community of practitioners, developers, content editors, executives, able to speak the same technical language and collaborate to raise the general level.

125
A source ethic: never trick an AI with cosmetic signals, never practice semantic cloaking, always protect editorial truth as a public good.

126

127
128
aeotool is one stone in that edifice. Not the largest, but the most demanding on its definition of quality. We build to last, and we build so that our clients are still here in ten years : cited, read, preferred.

130
Ismaël.C. is the founder and chief architect of aeotool. He has spent fifteen years at the frontier between software engineering and artificial intelligence, going through every layer that led him to AEO.

131
132
His path follows the slow convergence of applied AI disciplines. He started as a software engineer on distributed backend stacks, then moved to data engineering to build analytical pipelines at a scale of millions of events per day, and on to machine learning where he designed recommendation and scoring models in production. From 2022, he dedicated himself entirely to LLM Ops: GPT and Claude API integration, autonomous agent orchestration, multi-agent systems for editorial production and automated diagnostic, prompt caching and cost optimization patterns for industrial volumes.

133
134
During those years he developed a rare expertise, sitting at the intersection of three worlds that still barely talk to each other: LLM engineering, web semantics, and technical B2B marketing. This expertise became the raw material of aeotool. He knows the models because he has shipped them to production. He knows the bots because he has observed their behavior on real sites. He knows the companies because he has audited them one by one.

135
136
Technical expertise

137
138
Ismaël.C. is a recognized specialist in AI agent systems: autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, LLM orchestration, production integration patterns. He has founded and led several B2B SaaS on these topics, in parallel with his audit work. His approach is founded on a few non-negotiable principles: decision traceability, score reproducibility, measurement before optimization, and factual rigor before commercial persuasion.

139
140
He is based in France, works in French and English, and spends most of his time on two activities: building the aeotool engine, and auditing client sites in real time to continuously calibrate the 67-criteria grid on the real behavior of AI bots. This continuous improvement loop is, in his view, the only honest way to stay relevant in a domain where the engines evolve every month.

141
142
Personal mission

143
144
His mission is clear: make French-speaking companies shine in the era of artificial intelligence. He considers that a French SME, a Swiss craftsman, a Belgian publisher or a Luxembourg industrialist has as much legitimacy to be cited by ChatGPT as an American multinational : provided they have the tools to ask for it properly. aeotool is his answer to that conviction. It is neither a buzz-chasing startup, nor a premium consulting firm at 2000 euros a day: it is a rigorous audit engine, a verifiable rebuild service, and an open knowledge base, held by someone who has already shipped AI systems to production and knows exactly what makes the difference between a page readable by a human and a page exploitable by an LLM.

145
146
Ismaël.C. communicates directly, without hedging, and never signs a recommendation he could not defend in front of a technical board. This is the standard he transposes into every aeotool audit and every rebuild delivered to a client.
