It ships several surfaces from one codebase (Dracon 2 Games, Dracon Music, the AI Hub) and the tools that recommend the third-party 3 infrastructure the studio pays for itself.

What Dracon is

Dracon is a small software studio. The studio builds and runs software: it makes games, 4 produces music, ships an AI Hub, and publishes single-purpose compare tools (Codex Reset,
5 Object Storage Compare, Email API Compare, VPS Compare, Domain TCO, Vector DB Compare, 6 Observability Compare, Agent Sandbox Pricing). 7 The tools surface is value-first: free utilities with 8 capture-dated data, no affiliate links, no tracked merchant links.

The studio is anonymous. There is no founder headshot, no founder LinkedIn, no "founded 9 in [year]" line. We don't have those to share, and inventing them would be the kind of 10 unverified claim this site is built to refuse. The studio is Dracon; the byline 11 on every editorial page reads By Dracon for the same reason.

Why the tools surface exists

The tools surface isn't a marketing play. It is the place where the studio's own 12 infrastructure becomes useful to other people: Codex Reset tracks the usage windows the 13 studio actually hits, and Object Storage Compare prices the storage the studio actually 14 buys: real numbers, capture-dated, no fake data.

The other reason is more honest: the studio tried the affiliate model twice and cut it 15 both times. There are no tracked merchant links, no redirect endpoints, and no 16 commission narrative anywhere on the platform. The full breakdown is on the how we make money page.

How Dracon ships

Every public recommendation has the same pipeline:

Selection: only infrastructure the studio actually uses is listed. The 17 rule is "would we spend our own money on this?" If the answer is no, it doesn't get a 18 row. The full picking criteria are on the methodology page.

Capture: every number is primary data captured on a known date: 19 prices from vendor pricing pages, benchmarks from the studio's own runs. A row without 20 a capture says so; unmeasured cells say "seed placeholder" instead of pretending.

Editorial review: the captures are reviewed by the studio 21 before they land on a page. Numbers flagged aging (pricing rotated) are 22 looked at by a human before the next capture replaces the old one.

"By Dracon": the byline convention

Every editorial page on the platform carries the byline By Dracon. The 23 name is the studio's editorial identity, the same name that appears in the site footer 24 (
© 2026 Dracon
) and in the chrome's logo. The match matters: a 2026 25 search/AI-overviews reader checking the byline against the publisher looks for that name 26 match.

If a future article is genuinely authored by a separate human contributor, a new
Person
schema is added for that contributor and the byline updates. For now 27 the byline is the studio's editorial name.

AI assistance, inside the share

Parts of the editorial flow on the platform are AI-assisted. The drafting pattern is 28 AI-assisted drafting + primary-data capture + human review, the same pipeline the 29 studio uses on the games, music, and AI Hub surfaces. The point of disclosing it is not 30 to apologise. It is to make the pipeline visible to a visitor who needs to know what 31 they are reading.
<!>
Where to go next

Methodology: how captures are dated, how vendors get 32 selected, and how the AI-assistance pipeline is shaped.

How we make money: product revenue in the open, 33 and what we refuse to do.

The tools: free, value-first utilities: Codex Reset, 34 Object Storage Compare, VPS / domain / vector-DB / email-API / observability / agent-sandbox pricing compares.

`);function S(h,s){m(s,!0),q("cwls5q",c=>{var e=A(),a=o(u(e),2),t=o(a,8),r=o(t,4),d=o(r,12);w(()=>{i(a,"href",`${s.data.siteOrigin??""}/about`),i(t,"content",`${s.data.siteOrigin??""}/about`),i(r,"content",`${s.data.siteOrigin??""}/og/dracon-og.png`),i(d,"content",`${s.data.siteOrigin??""}/og/dracon-og.png`)}),g(()=>{v.title="About | Dracon"}),l(c,e)}),k(h,{toc:!0,sidebar:e=>{var a=I();l(e,a)},children:(e,a)=>{var t=_(),r=o(f(t),30);D(r,{variant:"banner",context:"this page"}),b(4),y(t),l(e,t)},$$slots:{sidebar:!0,default:!0}}),p()}export{S as component};
