174
Clarification on the JS8Call Name and Project Organization

175
We want to clear up some recent confusion regarding the JS8Call name, the JS8Call-Improved
176 organization, and recent version releases.

177
For many years, the program was released under the name js8call, and development took place under the
178 js8call organization.

179
With the release of version 2.4.0, two changes occurred at the same time:
180

181
The application name was released as JS8Call-Improved

182
A new development organization was created called JS8Call-improved

183

184

184Beginning with version 2.5.0, the application name was restored to JS8Call, which remains the
185 official name of the software going forward. The development organization, however, continues to
186 operate under the JS8Call-Improved name.

187
The official website for the JS8Call project is: js8call.com

188
189
Development Team Update

190
The development team has continued to grow and now consists of 17 contributors. Jordan Sherer, the
191 original creator of js8call, remains an active member of the development team.

192
We appreciate the community’s patience and continued support as the project evolves. Our goal remains
193 to maintain clarity, continuity, and transparency while advancing JS8Call’s development.

216
This release resolves an issue where the Configuration dialog did not display correctly when
217 using dark desktop themes, particularly on Linux systems. The previous version used
218 hardcoded background colors that conflicted with system theme settings, resulting in poor
219 readability and visual inconsistencies.

220
Changes include:

223
Removed custom styling from the saved messages list that caused display issues
