These people could be peasants, soldiers, merchants, nobles and clergy.�</p> 145<p><span class="mimfont">m i m </span>incorporates historical crafts, activities and costumes into an interactive presentation that seeks to give observers and participants a sense of opening a window into the past.�</p> 146<p>Using re-enactment as an educational medium and work in cooperation with living history museums, historic sites, heritage interpreters, schools and other historical re-enactment groups to educate the public in a particular area of history, such as clothing styles, pastimes and handicrafts, or to simply convey a sense of the everyday life in the middle of the 14th century. �</p> 147<p>We are aiming for the highest possible level of authenticity and use period sources like illuminations and manuscripts to recreate the tools and fashion we use and wear. <br /><span class="mimfont">m i m </span>is currently mainly focused on these interactive presentations: </p><ul><li><strong>Textiles</strong> - From Fleece to Cloth <br /><em> (shearing, washing, carding, spinning, dyeing and weaving wool)</em></li><li><strong>Garments</strong> - From Tunics and Cloakes<br /><em> (a fashion show including peasants, merchants and nobles)</em></li><li><strong>Food</strong> - Out of Bowls and from the Spit <br /><em> (historic cooking and food history from Medieval Europe)</em></li><li><strong>Weapon & Armour</strong> - With Chainmail and Sword <br /><em> (heavy infantry, a knightâs armour as well as archers and gonners)</em></li></ul><p>We are also organising events titeled â<strong><em>how people used to ..</em></strong>â focusing on different topics like historic cooking, fashion, culture and more.�</p> 148<p>If you are interested in <span class="mimfont">m i m </span>and our activities, please �find us also on social media like <a href="https://www.facebook.com/mimscot" target="_blank" class="external-link-new-window">Facebook</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mimscotland/" target="_blank" class="external-link-new-window">Instagram</a>.
