McCammon published his book, <i>Currencies of the Anglo Norman Isles</i>, 70 detailing the coins and currencies of the Channel Islands. Now 40 years later, with the aid of newer technology, 71 a clearer picture on this subject can now be readily available for the numismatist. The purpose of this work is to 72 document and illustrate the coins and their die varieties from the Island of Jersey. Die varieties have been carefully 73 checked and verified. Note that a bibliography is included at the end of each section for reference and further research. 74 Also note that in describing the coins, references are made to "J" and "KM" numbers. 75 The KM numbers are from Krause-Mishler <i>Standard Catalog of World Coins</i>, and identify the coins by type. 76 Meanwhile, the J numbers are from McCammon and identify individual coins in the series. 77 Both references are used by many numismatists.<br><br> 78 I must acknowledge my fellow numismatist Phil Warrington for his extensive work on the die types.
